What is a Smile Design Image?
You will love your new smile!

Everyone dreams about beautiful bright smile. With the latest computer technology we can show you how you will look with perfect teeth. If you come to our Bristol consultation centre then we will take a photograph of your smile and then create an after image. If you come to us for a consultation then we can provide you with a treatment plan, we will tell you what work will need to be done to your teeth and the cost.

We are also able to create a Smile Design image from one of your own photographs. Please note that the better quality the picture then you will have the full effect. This way you can see the final result and make a decision before coming for a treatment.

The Smile Design Image is based on maths, and the rules of the golden proportion and symmetry. Using the image of your existing smile we will then convert this into a digital representation using specialised digital imaging and design.

  Symmetry
The perfect smile should have both upper and lower teeth centered around the center line of the face as much as is possible.

  Horizontal Alignment
Opposite teeth of the same type should be horizontally aligned when the head is held straight.

  Smile Line
When you are smiling naturally, the perfect smile is achieved, when the arc of the upper teeth follows the arc of your lower lip perfectly.

  Individual Teeth The Golden Ratio
The golden ratio occurs in nature everywhere. It makes sense that a naturally beautiful smile should be based on such a ratio.
Mathematically, the ratio is described as

Putting this into dental terms, it means that the front 6-8 teeth in your smile should individually have a width that is roughly 61% the height of your respective teeth.

  Relatively Proportioned Adjacent Teeth
The above rule features in the relation of your teeth to each other. This means that your lateral incisors should be about 61% of your incisors, and cuspids should be 61% of your lateral incisors. This applies to your front 6 teeth.

  Embrasures
Embrasures are the small triangular gaps between the teeth at the biting edge. If you do not have these, your teeth will look false.

  Gum Line
This is usually a much shallower arc compared to the smile line. This line should follow the arc of your upper lip at the top of the teeth, leaving just enough gums to be visible to be attractive.

We will send the digital image to the Dentist for inspection, and after their approval, we will send you a copy of your new perfect smile. We send only the image that will be possible to create in reality.

The benefits of this process are that you may see in advance what your smile could look like. We hope you will love your new smile!

This is only a two dimensional image helping you to imagine yourself after the treatment. If you wish to have real Smile Design, then you can come to our Bristol consultation centre where the Dentist will be able to create the Smile Design with temporary materials in your mouth. The beauty of this is that you will be able to change the shape, colour and all the details together with the dentist to achieve the desire smile.
